Jonathan Kastellec is a professor in the Department of Politics at Princeton University. His research and teaching interests are in American political institutions, with a particular focus on judicial politics and the politics of Supreme Court nominations and confirmations. He is the author (with Charles Cameron) of Making the Supreme Court: The Politics of Appointments, 1930-2020, which is forthcoming from Oxford University Press in 2023. His research has been published in the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, the Journal of Law, Economics & Organization, the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, and Political Research Quarterly. He received his B.A. (2000) from Georgetown University and his M.A. (2004) and Ph.D. (2009) from Columbia University.
